My name is Michel, and Lebanese food is my passion. Food by Michel offers catering for your home or office, and cooking workshops where I’ll teach you to make your favorite Lebanese dishes (and some of mine!). We also host several market-stalls every month, with some of the best falafel you’ve ever tried.

Catering
Lebanese food is delicious, but takes a lot of time to make. A good table should cover a wide variety of mezza and dips, but with each dish taking between half an hour to two hours, pulling this off isn’t an easy feat.
I love catering. My company specializes in catering for wedding and small events, but I also love helping you host dinners at your home, or inviting you and a group of friends over to mine for a meal. Offering vary based on your needs and expected number of guests, but our service includes mezza, mains and desserts. You set the limit, according to your needs. Also, if you want Food by Michel can take care of decoration (flowers), tableware, and cutlery. Or even my service to help you in the party or event. You only have to request it (it entails an extra expense). So you don’t have to worry about anything, just enjoy the party and the food!

Group packages are available for groups of all sizes and to fit all tastes and budgets. If you’re planning a dinner, the average package is about €23,- per person and includes 6 varieties of mixed mezze.

Mezze (starters) and main courses
Warak Enab: €5,50/portion of 6 pieces.
Wine leaves stuffed with rice, parsley, tomato and spices (vegetarian)

A refreshing salad made from parsley, tomatoes, mint, and burghul (cracked wheat).
Fattoush: €6 per person
Filling salad made from toasted Arabic flat bread combined with mixed greens and other vegetables.

Marketplace
Markets are some of my favorite places, and one of our main activities. We have a permanent stand in three of Amsterdam’s busiest markets, and I’d love to give you a sample of our famous falafel if you stop by and say hello.
Head to the Biologische markt van Eesterenlaan every Wednesday to catch up with us. There’s a wide selection of fresh, seasonal mezza and dips waiting for you when you get here.
Workshops
Ever wanted to try your hand at making Lebanese food? Yes it’s a complicated cuisine, but it shouldn’t be intimidating. And it’s incredibly fun to learn, cook, and of course eat!
My workshops can be held in my kitchen or yours, and will include starters, a main course, mezza and desserts. I also bring along some of the best wine Lebanon has to offer. Workshops last between 4 to 5 hours, and are designed for groups of 6 to 13 people. Prices vary, and include everything you need. Some people like to bring their own aprons to feel more at home, so feel free to do the same.
Dinner at my place
Book a dinner at my home, with colleagues, or friends or families and enjoy with a full Lebanese experience. The minimum number of people should be 5 and maximum 13.
